OLSD Free Press CEO sent to office.

OLSD Free Press CEO Michael Potts, recently had an hour-long meeting with OOHS principal Monica Asher.

This meeting comes with some minor and a major changes the removal of the Public Chat. The rules for what can be posted and what can be posted have been revised and the system for article review has been updated to match the new requirements.

What does this mean for users

The changes while important for the continuance of our services are very minor for users and article submitters.

Users

Users have only 1 change, the removal of the public chat. We are very sorry to see it go as it was one of our best services but due to the high risk of abuse and low ability to moderate these risks we have to let it go. We are open to new ideas for features, ideas can be submitted through our contact page.

Writers

Writers have a few new rules about what articles they can write, mainly that they can't write about articles about people or even small groups of people. If you are a current writer we recommend reading the new rules page before writing a new article.

Michael Potts

Asher was actually very nice during the whole conversation. Its sad how much power highschools have over their students and their right to speech but that isn't her fault and I just wish we didn't have to restrict our users.
