What Are we?

WE ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE OLENTANGY SCHOOL DISTRICT.

OLSD Free Press is a free news website dedicated to the Olentangy district. Our articles are written by students and staff in schools located in the district. Articles can be quoted with credit and links to public social media or you can choose to remain anonymous. If you want to write about a new rule that you feel is unnecessary or an incident that you think the school administration handled poorly, you can submit your article to our website.

We do not censor the articles posted on our website, and we try to keep our rules to a minimum. However, there are some things that we cannot post, which are listed on our Rules Page. Rest assured that we do not censor or alter any articles submitted to our website.

The People

OLSD Free Press is created and managed by Michael Potts, a freshman at OOHS. We have a team of staff who manage article approvals and write official OLSD Free Press articles. All other articles are researched and written by other students or staff, and we have no control over their content.

The Purpose

We believe that schools today do not receive enough constructive criticism. Students and staff may be reluctant to speak up because they fear getting in trouble. We believe that students and staff should be able to express their opinions freely without fear of prosecution.
